Who is Jstmel?
That would be me, Michelle. 'Jstmel' is a nickname I use online that is actually comprised of two nicknames. Many, many years ago I used to socialize a lot within Yahoo Chat. I won’t go into specifics about the chat name I used to use there, but I will let you know that it began with 'Jst'. 'Mel' is a nickname I use in real life, and it is a story I can share…but I’ll make it a short one.
At a job I once had, one of my fellow employees called out, “Hey Mel, bring me such and such”. Nobody knew who she meant. When I asked who she wanted she said that she meant to say my name but was reading something at the same time she called for me. For whatever reason, ‘Mel’ came out and not Michelle. We all got a chuckle about it and every now and then they would call me ‘Mel’ as a joke. The job I had after that one already had a ‘Michelle’ working there. So, I told them, “Just call me Mel”. And it stuck. For roughly the last 25+ years I’ve gone by Mel.
What is MoMaR?
It is an acronym for ‘Mind of Matter and Ramblings’, which is the basis of my blog. Here I will be filling you all in on the random and, more often than not, bizarre thoughts that go through my head. Or, I’ll be “rambling” about the “matter” in my “mind”. Hence, I give you ‘Jstmel’s Mind of Matter and Ramblings’, or MoMaR.
I live in Florida with my partner of 15 years. Throughout my blog I will refer to her by her WoW name of Dharm. There are many things I enjoy doing, but gaming is at the top of the list. I have been playing the popular MMO, World of Warcraft, for roughly 10 years. I have fiddled with other games in the past, but WoW remains my favorite. Most of my posts here will probably have something to do with WoW, but I may throw out a few posts about other games I enjoy from time to time.
I’m going to end this here. I don’t want to give out too much information too fast. I’ll let you find out more about me through my posts.
